The VersaMax series has a "3-in-1" function, which can be used as a stand-alone PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control machine or as a VO
substation, which can be controlled by fieldbus to other master control devices such as PACSystems RX3i, third-party PLCs, DCSs or meters computer
system), and can also form a distributed large-scale control system composed of multiple PLCs.
Structure
The VersaMax system consists of the following basic units:
1. CPU Module: execute user program, directly control the local I/O module or control the distributed I/O module through the fieldbus, and
can also communicate with other PLCs.
2. NIU (Network Interface Unit,Network interface unit) Module: provides a slave communication protocol to connect the I/O module and the
host through the fieldbus.
3.I/O Modules: VersaMax products offer a wide range of I/O modules, including conventional switching and analog modules, as well as special
modules such as RTDs, thermocouples (TCs), and high-speed counters (HSCs) to meet a wide range of user needs.
4.I/O Dock: Supports the installation of all types of VersaMax I/O modules, providing backplane bus communication and field terminal blocks.
There is no need to change the field wiring during the loading and unloading of the I/O modules.
5. Communication Module: It provides the communication function between VersaMax PLC and other equipment.
6. Power Supply and Power Auxiliary Base: The power module supplies power to the I/O module through the backplane bus. In the system configuration,
when the power module cannot meet the load current requirements of the configured I/O module, one or more power supplies can be added and mounted
on the power auxiliary base.
